The layout of the Teacher's Manual was the same, so bonus that I didn't need to take time to familiarize myself with how it was laid out. \u0026nbsp;The lessons actually pick up where Foundations A left off and begins with Lesson 40 which is a review of short and long vowel sounds.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; \u003Ci\u003E\u003Cu\u003Ethey are short and sweet\u003C\/u\u003E\u003C\/i\u003E and hit right at the concept being taught. \u0026nbsp;There are plenty of games throughout the\u0026nbsp;workbook so that you don't have to go searching the web for them {although, I don't mind doing that for extra practice if needed} like phonogram bingo, high frequency word cards to go along with games from the Teachers Manual, and plenty more! \u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nI believe this curriculum appeals to all types of learners. \u0026nbsp;\u003Cb\u003EThere's plenty of games and extra ideas given in the Teacher's Manual for hands-on learners\u003C\/b\u003E, but the workbook provides a few minutes of seat work for reinforcement without being overwhelming or too boring. \u0026nbsp;Logic of English Foundations is a great mix of two ways to teach such an important skill!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Ci\u003ESweet\u003C\/i\u003E that there are so many options to choose from for all kinds of learners, and education philosophies. \u0026nbsp;And \u003Ci\u003Ebitter\u003C\/i\u003E because there are just too many options--especially for someone like me who always feels I must make the right decision the first time-- no room for error here, people!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nChoosing curriculum is seriously like a mental ping pong game in my head-- constantly! \u0026nbsp;But sure enough when I stop stressing out over what I should choose, the answer becomes clear, \u003Ci\u003Eor not so clear\u003C\/i\u003E \u003Cb\u003Ebut\u003C\/b\u003E then another product comes along that wasn't on my radar and it is exactly what I was looking for all along. \u0026nbsp;\u003Ci\u003EFunny how that works!\u003C\/i\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nTake my dilemma over what to use to help teach Little Sis learn how to read for example. \u0026nbsp;I chose something completely different than what I had used with Big Brother-- not because it didn't work, but well because I wanted a program all laid out for me instead of piecing things together.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nI had something else picked out for Little Sis, but while I was at a curriculum sale I was able to thumb through Logic of English Foundations A-- and\u003Ci\u003E I was immediately drawn to it.\u003C\/i\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nI chose to go home without Foundations A that day, but the curriculum kept coming back to me, so I read through \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/www.logicofenglish.com\/foundations\/a\"\u003ELogic of English\u003C\/a\u003E's website and a few curriculum reviews and decided to get in touch with the company.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cb\u003EIn exchange for a thorough product review, I was able to get my hands on the \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/www.logicofenglish.com\/foundations\/a\" rel=\"nofollow\"\u003EFoundations A Curriculum\u003C\/a\u003E to use with Little Sis. \u003Ci\u003E\u0026nbsp;I. was. thrilled!!! \u003C\/i\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nI've used \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.schooltimesnippets.com\/2016\/04\/logic-of-english-essentials-edition-2-review.html\" rel=\"nofollow\"\u003ELogic of English Essentials\u003C\/a\u003E and The \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.schooltimesnippets.com\/2014\/05\/teach-cursive-with-rhythm-of.html\" rel=\"nofollow\"\u003ERhythm of Handwriting\u003C\/a\u003E Cursive Program with Big Brother and was impressed with both products, so I was pretty sure I'd feel the same way about Foundations and that proved to be true.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Ch2\u003E\nHomeschool Reading Curriculum\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h2\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nIt did take a little bit of a learning curve to get used to-- the information is all there and is super teacher friendly, but \u003Ci\u003Ethere's so much information\u003C\/i\u003E it is easy to get overwhelmed. \u0026nbsp;The program teaches \"voiced\" and \"unvoiced\" phonograms-- something I didn't learn until my speech classes in college!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nThe Teacher's Manual lays out a Scope \u0026amp; Sequence and Materials List. \u0026nbsp;The Materials List includes things like NERF gun\/ ball, chalk, scissors, tokens, etc. \u0026nbsp;However, it is easy to improvise and\/or skip the activity if you don't have the stated material. \u0026nbsp;I realized Little Sis is kind of a \"no-nonsense learner\"-- just show her what she needs to do, and she'll do it. \u0026nbsp;That said, we didn't do a lot of the extra hands-on activities. \u0026nbsp;But man, how I wish I had this program with Big Brother!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Ch3\u003E\n\u003Cb\u003EIt is a scripted program\u003C\/b\u003E, \u0026nbsp;but it isn't necessarily \"open and go.\" \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h3\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nI definitely needed to read over the material before letting loose with Little Sis. \u0026nbsp;That might just be common sense, but it'll flow better and make more sense if you take the time to read over the lesson the night before.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;
