Time for another process art challenge.
My stash of paper towel tubes came in handy for this month's "Found Objects Sculpture" challenge.
My preschooler had a great time telling me how to arrange the paper tubes and it turned out to be a fun afternoon art project.
I can only imagine the different sculptures if this activity was used with more kiddos!
This was such a fun challenge! Process art allows you the freedom to create and let creative juices flow; the gears are switched up in this type of project and my art loving daughter enjoyed selecting different pieces of paper tubing and telling me where to put them!

What you need:
- paper towel tubes
- scissors
- glue gun
Process Art Sculpture for Kids
To prep the activity, I cut each of my paper towel tubes into various sized circles.
I used a recycled lid for the base of our sculpture and plugged in the glue gun.
If little hands are involved, it would be a good idea to use your low-heat glue gun.
Begin by gluing a paper towel tube to the base of the sculpture and continue gluing more paper tube circles to the top and sides to create your process art sculpture.
We also kept the scissors handy to cut the circles and decided to "curl" a few pieces.
My daughter loves all things art inspired, and this proved to be a neat project to work on together.
And it is the perfect art activity for the afternoon or a rainy day.
You could also paint the paper tubes to make the sculpture more colorful.
