Simple & Effective Short Vowel Sort

Big Brother learned his short vowel sounds last year when we did a Letter of the Week and we've been reviewing them with All About Spelling. 

Using Big Brother's ABC puzzle and flashcards, I made a simple and effective vowel sorting "game."

I placed the vowel pieces on the floor and then I said a word and Big Brother was to put the flashcard under the correct vowel...  some were CVC words and others started with the vowel.  Such a simple way to practice short vowel recognition!
