As my daughter had her 2nd birthday come and go, I thought I'd dig through my photos and find you the cake I made for my son's 5th Birthday last year. He requested a "
Monster Truck" cake, so I turned to Pinterest for some quick searching and inspiration. And whoa! There are a lot of amazing monster truck themed cakes out there!! Who knew?!
Being the beginner cake decorator that I am, this is what I came up with:
I crumbled Oreos and used the Oreos to create a #5 Monster Truck track. I added Whoppers for rocks, green icing for some greenery, and then used a couple toys from his massive car collection to add the final touches.
It's nothing fancy, but needless to say, I had a happy lil' 5 year old that day!
