On my last trip to the Dollar Store, I came home with a colorful pennant banner. At the time I didn't have a use for it, but bought it anyways. And I am glad I did!
I have since turned it into a way to teach my preschooler the days of the week.

Supplies:
banner
marker
clothespin
I chose seven of the pennant banners from the pack and threaded them onto a white ribbon.
I added a day of the week in the middle of each pennant with a sharpie and hung the days of the week banner up!

Preschool Days of the Week Activity
I chose seven of the pennant banners from the pack and threaded them onto a white ribbon.

I wrote on a clothespin, "Today is...", with the idea to have my preschooler move the clothespin onto the day of the week banner to sneak in some fine motor skills practice, too!
It has since made its home in our homeschool room, and the playful colors fit in perfectly!
It was so simple to put together that I almost don't want to say it's a DIY project.
However, technically I did thread the banner together and add some words : )

We have also been looking up some fun songs on You Tube.
