Thankful Journal and Drawing Prompt {Free Printable}

This time of year is usually marked as a time of reflection, remembrance, and thanksgiving, so I created a little journal for my son to complete starting the beginning of November til Thanksgiving Day.  The free printable comes with a cover page and space for writing and drawing what your child is thankful for.

This printable Thankful Journal is a great way to get your child to reflect on all the things he/she is thankful for:
  • activities they love doing
  • people they enjoy
  • places they love visiting
  • favorite foods
  • special things they love

Teaching Children Gratitude

Depending on the age of your child, the work "thankful" may be a bit abstract, so ask instead, "What makes you happy...."  That question may be easier for a young child to answer ; )

Each day have your child write what he/she is thankful for on the lines, and in the box above have your child draw a picture, too.  It'll make for a nice little keepsake years later!

Just click on the images to print!  Then just cut the paper in half and staple the journal together; it'll be like a little book.

I'd love to hear if you are using this set!  As always, please respect downloading etiquette and direct people to this page for the free printables.  Thanks so much!  And thanks to for the lovely images!!
