We have played around with Kandinsky's colorful Circle Art in the past with watercolor paints and a button board activity.
Since exploring the Great Artist Mondrian a few weeks ago, I have decided to re-create our version of a popular piece of artwork each month with my kiddos.
For a little holiday flair, we paired Kandinsky's Circles with the Christmas tree and made this colorful Christmas Tree Circles Art Project!

Cut out a tree from green construction paper. Add a brown rectangle trunk to the bottom with glue.
With several other colors of construction paper, cut various sized free form circles.
Layer them on top of one another with glue and glue them onto the tree.
The colorful circles look like ornaments and is a fun way to explore the great artist, Kandinsky.
