Learning through themes is common during the younger years. It is fun to practice literacy, math, gross and fine motor skills, etc. through themes and holidays. I looked into our old post-- many from 2015, and came up with a collection of Seasonal Fine Motor Activities to do with your children this year.
There's a fine motor activity for each month of the year. Add a fine motor activity into your weekly plans by setting up the activity for the season/ holiday right now. Here's 12 great fine motor skill activities your kiddos will love!

January -- The first month of the new year and right in dead of winter. Most places see snow, so our Scissor Skills Snowman is the perfect fine motor skills craft to work on cutting skills.
February -- Have fun with all things hearts and red, pink, and white. Put together this easy Valentine Button Snake to practice threading skills.
